Background
Silverdale Printing is an award winning printer that has been serving the Rodney and surrounding districts for all printing requirements spanning over 25 years.
One of their main focuses now, is to look at ways and means of becoming more eco friendly. They have recently been audited and have been accredited with the FSC Chain of Custody certification.
Dean approached us wanting to develop a website for Silverdale Printing which reflected the high standard of work but also their commitment to the community and the environment.
Our Technique
We began the project engagement with a comprehensive discovery phase to discover who they were as a brand and to indentify their points of difference and what they wanted to say to their clients through the new website. This enabled us to quickly design a brand concept that would reflect the branding they already use and to enable easy navigation for their target market.
The website is designed using both HTML Code and CCS Styles. We have also imbedded a statistic gathering application which allows Silverdale Printing to easily run reports on the traffic visiting their website on a daily basis.
Once the core website had been developed we were able to optimise the website to appear in the top percentile of searches conducted using Google and other mainstream search engines.
The Result
Launched in June 2008, silprint.co.nz represents an excellent example of powerful design and visually stimulating imagery used to tap into a rapidly evolving marketplace. Today Unity Business Group continues to work with Silverdale Printing to help further this award winning business stay on the leading edge of the world wide web.
